Audi FIS Ski World Cup – Women’s Giant Slalom

Challenging and steep: Every January, the Erta slope at Mt Plan de Corones/Kronplatz welcomes the world’s top Giant Slalom athletes for a spectacular World Cup race. From Al Plan Hotel, you can watch the action live – even while doing laps in the heated Sky Pool.

Messner Mountain Museum Corones

The MMM Corones, one of the six Messner Mountain Museums, rises imposingly high up on the summit of Mt Plan de Corones/Kronplatz. In the extraordinary museum building designed by world-famous architect Zaha Hadid, Reinhold Messner thematises the 250-year-long relationship between mountain and man. Numerous works of art and collections of unique objects from his mountain tours tell the story of traditional alpinism at an altitude of 2,275 metres above sea level.

Adrenaline X-Treme Adventures

Parish Church of St. Vigilius

This baroque gem in San Vigilio is a must-see. Parish Church of St Vigilius is a unique jewel of late Baroque art. Here you can marvel at the masterful frescoes by the artist Matthäus Günther as well as the stucco pulpit, the elegant side choirs, the pictures of the Stations of the Cross painted by Karl Henrici and the pompous stucco frame of the image of the Virgin Mary.

Owl Park San Vigilio

Experience majestic hawks, owls, and other birds of prey up close – at the owl park in San Vigilio. Here, at the foot of the Fanes-Senes-Braies/Fanes-Sennes-Prags Nature Park, falconer Mario lovingly looks after over 40 different species of birds of prey from all over the world. Particularly fascinating: Among them are some very rare and endangered species. At the Owl Park San Vigilio, you can also learn interesting facts about the life of birds of prey, their characteristics and habits.

Spanning over 25,000 hectares, the Fanes-Senes-Braies/Fanes-Sennes-Prags Nature Park is one of South Tyrol’s largest protected areas, stretching from Valle di Braies/Pragsertal to Toblach and Alta Badia. Known for its majestic spruce forests, the park is a sanctuary for diverse high-Alpine flora and fauna. Discover fascinating insights about the park’s ecosystem and wildlife along the Larchen and Lake Dobbiaco/Toblacher See nature trails.

Alpine Path of the Dolomites no. 1

Over 150 kilometres and across 13 daily stages, the Alpine Path of the Dolomites no. 1 takes you from Lake Braies/Pragser Wildsee to the province of Belluno. Along the way, you’ll traverse some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the Dolomites and pass through three linguistic regions: the German-speaking Val Pusteria/Pustertal, the Ladin-speaking Fanes territory in Val Badia/Gadertal, and the Italian-speaking area south of Passo Falzarego/Falzaregopass. Additionally, historical remnants and relics from the First World War are scattered along the trail, offering poignant reminders of the past.

Adventure Trail Piz de Plaies

The gentle 1.5-kilometre Adventure Trail Piz de Plaies is a popular destination for families, offering a fun-filled, approximately 45-minute walk. Along the way, you’ll find diverse play stations and numerous picnic spots, making it an entertaining excursion for visitors of all ages. The trail begins at the mountain station of the Piz de Plaies lift on Col dl’Ancona and winds past the Alpinus Agriturism before reaching the summit of Piz de Plaies. At the top, you can explore an exciting labyrinth and take in breathtaking views at the Panoramic Point by Swarovski Optik. To return, follow the same trail back or opt for the Piz de Plaies circular route.
